  1. Mannix65 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

classic ripe sherry board, complex with various edges - very nice
    • Nose
      90 90
Heavy sherry, ripe red plums, furniture polish, raisins, leather - more spice and oak emerge with water - nutmeg, also Indian curry, somewhat metallic
    • Taste
      90 90
an explosion spreads throughout the mouth - sherry and plum compote, cranberries and black currants - a few drops of water make the high alcohol content bearable and a creamy touch is present, but also the pleasant influence of the wood
    • Finish
      89 89
a long sherry flag with a pleasant sweetness, the spicy oak discreetly behind it

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

Excellent mole, a magnificent aroma harmoniously accommodating both sweet coffee-confectionery, and industrial, oil-metallic, sulfur notes, the same combination in taste / finish, very whole, deep.
    • Nose
An open, dry, first nose is a little wood and industrial spiky mineral-chemical notes; Furniture varnish, oil - both food, cream, and industrial, such as motor; sweet, boiled condensed milk, baklava, honey; nuts, stain, vegetable and sulfur shades.
    • Taste
Soft, dense, oily, raisins, lots of raisins, peppery wave, sweetness - honey, condensed milk; Nuts, cappuccino, laconic notes, sulfur-mineral tones.
    • Finish
      Soft, spicy, sweet oak with a light bitterness and tingling sulfur tones, as if from aerated hydrogen sulfide mineral water; light notes of varnish and boiled condensed milk, raisins, radish, cabbage;

Heavy sherried with tar and rubber, not the cleanest one but tasty and very interesting

A big rubber nose for starters, a little sulphur (all good), fresh honeydew melons and a ripe banana, a touch of leather and some barley emerging. Also a whiff of salty ocean things like seaweed, crabs and driftwood. I find a bite of chocolate too. There is a slight off note in there somewhere (cleaning solvent possibly). Complex allright! On the pallate: Grand Sherry opening followed by a good attack of the oak, some briney seawater and again some melons. Quite a long finish. Musty Warehouse deluxe! Just love that in the aftertaste. Whith water we still get a lot of rubber (tires) on the nose, the off note has dissapeared but so have the fruits. The mouthfeel is more oily now, less oak, less brine and the melon is overripe now. Same stellar aftertaste on musty cellar. A great Whisky in my books...

    Color: fresh, strong tea brew
Aroma: deep, multi-layered. Rich fruitiness is combined with easy livestock (Springbank yummy-nym) and such a pleasant, non-extinguishing chemistry, plasticity, insecticide, let each one choose what he likes)). 91
    Good anticipation !!
Taste: WOW !!! I was filled with a mountain of delicious, fatty, sweet dried fruit !!! Chives, prunes (fresh), raisins, golden, black (Uzbek) ...
This is a sessile monster! But what a great !!! The barrel did not strangle Ben Nevis, but only raised it to a new level. The weather and dignity are expressed in a chocolate-coffee shade. 92
    After-taste: long, chocolate-nut-92
    Premier League-92 !!
PS I've been watching for a long time and reading about Silver Seal (Whisky Antique), but I did not buy it. We will be corrected.
    Whisky super, like me)).
