A typical Tullibardine profile for me.
    • Nose
Malty and yeasty. Cereal. Some fruity notes of pear and melon. A little bit dusty.
    • Taste
Smooth and creamy. Juicy oakiness. Fruity sweetness of apricots and plums. Slightly spiced later on.
    • Finish
Medium long. Becomes quite bitter at the end.

One of the most disappointing drams of my life, the rest I gave away to an unknown alcoholic from my area (placed on the wall in front of the door)

The smell is better than the taste, the finish almost does not exist. Maybe in higher ABV taste and finish would have more to offer.
    • Nose
      85 85
vanilla, fruit, something sweet, almonds, wine
    • Taste
      81 81
      wood, cake, caramel
    • Finish
      78 78
      short oil for dough

  5. Moses scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

It was included as a gift when the order was placed. But didn't really pick me up. Just a standard finish.
    • Nose
Light fruits with vanilla in the background. Wine smell.
    • Taste
Oranges in nuts in custard. Totally ok. Peppered bread. Some herbs in the background.
    • Finish
Long finish with spicy almonds in gingerbread. That was it.

  6. Saftkenner scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

A very pleasant and tasty easy-drinking malt with a good price-performance ratio. Quite balanced for a Tullibardine and without any obvious off-notes.
    • Nose
      86 86
A pleasant and very subtle nose with light, sweetish tropical notes. Vanilla, honey, wine gum (tropical fruits), pineapple, red apple, bitter almond aroma, slightly spicy oak.
    • Taste
      86 86
Creamy and sweet on the palate. Red, sugared berries, honeydew melon, sweet raisins, light citrus notes, papaya.
    • Finish
      85 85
Short to medium-length finish. Brownie batter, caramel, raspberries, blackberries.

An interesting mix between a (reasonably) young Highland malt and a fruity red wine finish. The result is well balanced and rewarding for its round taste and quite long rounded finish.
No sense of flavour nor colour added to this one, but just the natural taste of wood reminding its red wine content. Rewarding and very good for the price.

Overall, despite the NAS, it has a beautiful burgundy finish: light without appearing flat, fruity without drowning in wine and hard to beat in terms of price-performance.

Red-gold, almost like polished copper, the 228 Tulli paints a heavy edge and amazingly thick streaks on the glass wall. Are there caramel candies? So if so, they should smell the same! Plentiful sugar candy in a fruit tea could also get in - a freshly opened raisin bag, red grapes, slightly unripe strawberries and oranges play into each other. At most, the barrel can be seen as a light nut note, a few crumbs of shortbread and malt with all the fruit remind of fruit muesli. In addition, there are also quite floral notes of herbs, parsley and lavender. A nice fruity nose that does not drown in the wine and fruit aromas.
    • Taste
      79 79
The citrus fruits in the mouth play fruity, even slightly minty, from oranges and lemon to slightly bitter grapefruit, with a few spoons of vanilla sauce poured over them. Again no wood, but from the third sip onwards, stronger hazelnuts and marzipan, with a certain acidity and slight bitterness.
    • Finish
      74 74
The mint also runs down the throat, now a hint of oak meets butter biscuits in the medium-long finish and burns with a slight acidity and winy memories.

nice tasty easy-drinking-dram with super PLV
    I like him
    • Nose
nice wine notes !!, light leather and increases, tart note, red apples become more, tannins, Christmas spices, oak becomes stronger, raspberry, green herbs, sweetness becomes stronger, vanilla comes, so simple sweet candies from childhood
    • Taste
soft and silky on the palate
Wine notes, red berries, soapy notes, floral, green herbs, dark caramel, oak, slightly raisin, spicy increases, the alcohol tingles somewhat
    • Finish
      short to medium long
Oak, red apple, tart, dark berries, goes from sweet to bitter
