Whisky Reviews for Talisker 57° North

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.30 points

  1. pdby scored this whisky 87 points Expert Junior

Saturated, fresh, brutal, with seaweed, salt, iodine, swamp, peat, citruses and shades of caramel and vanilla in the aroma, the taste explodes with iodine, salt, a ton of pepper and vanilla, seaweed and orange peel, a long finish, citrus-mineral caramel.
Not felt 57, probably from a fresh bottle would have given more. Everything else is at a very high level. Simple, powerful, but very comfortable. An excellent assertive instance for exploring island salty aggressors.

    • Nose
      Smoke, citrus and green fruit
    • Taste
peated smoke, with more fruity notes especially after adding a little bit of water. Without water it explodes in your mouth.
    • Finish
Long finish, sharp at first but leaves you with an earthy smoke with hints of sweatness.

    A very average Talisker. 3
    • Nose
Some smoke, a bit of salt and a sea breeze.
    • Taste
First sweet, then fireworks on the tongue. Lighter chilli catch, many dark fruits and some salt.
    • Finish
There is nothing left of the sweet, it is quickly gone. Otherwise, the whisky does not stay long.
