Pretty decent bourbon. Good value for money ratio. This is just a good sipping bourbon.
    • Nose
      81 81
Classic bourbon nose, not really outspoken, but all is there. There are dark spices, cardamom , vanilla, and a hint of wood.
    • Taste
      81 81
Pretty decent bourbon. The classic bourbon notes are in there. But I find it a little thin, even for the high strength. Vanilla, fudge and some toffee are in here alongside some dark spices.
    • Finish
      85 85
Medium length. The finish I like best of this one. It gives good caramel, decent spices and a touch of wood.

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

A good entry-level bourbon, a fairly rich and dense flavor, an elevated fortress here was at hand, the option with a commercial fortress was much weaker. At its very reasonable price, a good candidate for the place of the on duty bourbon at the bar for casual visitors and other similar kinds of occasions
    • Nose
Raw, open, corn, carpentry workshop, varnish, pickled cucumber, processed hardwood, popcorn.
    • Taste
Sweet pepper, corn, oak bitterness, oily sweetness, orange peel, a little bit sharp.
    • Finish
Pepper-ginger on a sweet corn background, oak, young bark, vegetable oil.

  3. Gloin scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

The smell is quite light for a bourbon and surprises with the fresh fruit note, the alcohol is not perceived.

The freshness loses something in the mouth despite the citrus notes, the taste knows how to please, me better than the smell.

The finish blends in well without glittering.

The bourbon is pure drink good, in the whiskey sour he lacks the assertiveness.
    • Nose
Caramel, oak and vanilla, some citrus, green apple
    • Taste
medium onset, slightly astringent, oak, some baked apple, little sweetness, some ginger sharpness, distant citrus notes, sweeter in the second sip
    • Finish
Oak and vanilla, burnt caramel, sweeter in the finish, medium to long

  5. LeChiffre scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

Overall, a good bourbon. The intense vanilla and caramel with the distinct spice as the antipole in the mouth are exciting, but unfortunately a bit unbalanced in terms of alcohol and (bitter) dominate barrel notes. PLV but good.
    • Nose
      81 81
intense vanilla and caramel; very cute; spicy notes of oak; Alcohol noticeable
    • Taste
      82 82
spicy-sweet; a lot of vanilla and caramel; increasingly comes on tingling oak
    • Finish
      78 78
very spicy; Oak; behind it vanilla and subtle sweetness; the alcohol shows light burning / pungent; slight bitterness

Again, a bourbon, which is not for me. Even if this - for me - after all, belongs to the better.
