Malt whisky without major strengths and weaknesses.
    • Nose
Grassy-green, sometimes reminds me of green tea, apple. Also a little chemical, cleaner?

Soft, sweet, flat, apple, malt, a little vanilla, coffee
    • Finish
bitter, "green", slightly woody, malt, later coffee

Very interesting nose, which makes the first sip,  taste and development a bit of a surprise.

One of the more fruity/flowery whiskys, with interesting development - from delicate almost thin flowery/fruity taste to wider and more bitter flavours.

Impressive for a relatively young whisky.
    • Nose
Strawberries, nice but slightly synthetic pineapple aroma, white wine, honey and winegums
    • Taste
pears and other green fruits, lemon, anis seeds, pine wood, faint plastics
    • Finish
Darkens and gets more bitter, pine wood, angostura, burnt spice gets added. Honey still present.

  8. Achany scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

Sweet, candy, massive honey, nearly too much of it. Retaste is necessary, did not expect such a dram (25.08.17 - still incredible sweet, more malty, some herbs, quite all right but overall same rating)

  9. LukeFive scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

    Nice non challenging  whisky
    • Nose
sweet on ripe pears and white apples, a bit of vanilla custard there
    • Taste
soft arrival on fruits , pears and apples mainly, vanilla cream, hint of white pepper
    • Finish
Short sweetish, oaky at the end

    Colour: a light flapjack
Nose: a gentle array of apples, toffee and all-spice with milk chocolate and a floral note. With the addition of water pears arise along with cinnamon, apricots, tablet and a refreshing vanilla.
Taste: light and classic Speyside with vanilla, caramel and more of the all-spice. Water produces dough, pears, cinnamon and a malty presence.

Overall: better than the taller previous bottling, this one is more polished and refined. Still, not hugely detailed or epic in nature. I can see this whisky finding favour with those new to whisky, or who prefer a Speyside apparel, or a no-thrills experience.
