Whisky Reviews for Clynelish 14-year-old

- Wax, minerals, citrus, honey, some oak influence but pleasant without bitterness.
- I love the nose! It’s enough to make up for the weak finish. The palate is very complex, and makes for a very intriguing tasting experience. It’s worth the price. A very good value in the $50 price range. With a better finish, this could be a 90.
One of the best noses of any Scotch whisky. Easter candy-coated marshmallow eggs, fruit punch (cherry, apple, pineapple, orange, grape), almond paste, clover honey, and some candle wax. A few drops of water bring out some lemon/lime notes as well.
Fruit and slight floral, crushed roasted almonds, sea salt, spiced malt, oak wood, perhaps a bit of citrus and a touch of ginger. Perhaps a bit of leather/tobacco, but only a hint.
Very short and unremarkable. Thin. Maybe a hint of smoke, but nothing that lasts.
