Very chocolaty with lots of herbs - no wonder after 45yo in the cask - very good
    • Nose
      89 89
Nutty, whiffs of resin, acacia honey, sherry wood, leather couch, rubber tyres, herbs, thyme, sage, rosemary, cloves, caraway, hints of toffee, milk chocolate
    • Taste
      91 91
Lots of milk chocolate, good sweetness, fine sherry wood, dark berries, little bit of dried fruits, quite creamy and mellow, cooked fruits, jam, oranges - very good
    • Finish
      90 90
Long, warm, more punchy, more spices, more herbs, little bit of tannins, cocoa powder, still enough chocolate taste to avoid any dryness

It's very powerful for 45yo. Very good but sulfur, and unfortunately it is a real brake for me.
    • Nose
Nose sulfur unfortunately. Red fruits. Mure, currant, blueberry. Macerated fruits. Figs. Prunes. Stable. Purin, dirty earth.
    • Taste
In the mouth we keep the sulfur side Dried fruits. Nuts. Dry almonds. Red fruits. Oily leather.
    • Finish
Finale on red fruit drawing. Blueberry

A very good dram. Very delicate, almost too delicate? Do prefer the more tropial Tomatins, to be honest. 89-90p.
    • Nose
Fine, subtile nose. Slight sherry influence. A bit more time, then eartly notes take over. Definately cut grass. Hints of tropical fruits. Toffee. Malt
    • Taste
Malt and toffee. Fruity. Oily feel. A bit spicy
    • Finish
Getting spicier, and bitter. You do get a some sulphur in the end.

A rich, full-bodied whisky with loads of
    influence from the sherry cask...
    • Nose
Rich fruits and sherried peels. Hints of mixed peels, allspice, butterscotch and
      barley malt
    • Taste
Malty, fruity palate with hints of spice, toffee
apples and pepper. Very fruity indeed.
    • Finish
Long and complex with huge spice notes and drying
      toasted oak
