- This was a sample courtesy of Peatbogger . A lovely dram to savour .
For some reason dark cooked cabbage , but that isn't a bad thing , golden syrup , shag tobacco and a very well made Christmas pudding .
This is full bodied and it coats the mouth , various nuts ,ginger cake , moss and baked beans .
Long finish , again with baked beans and dried oregano on the death .
- Very good HP sherry matured whisky.
A nice Little shery bomb. Great value.
- yes, whisky changes with water, but I've yet to find one i think improves with it
This is no exception, and without water this is a tough one, a real vikings dram.
Probably quite young, but very pleasing.
coco powder, light sherry, cranberry, some orange and light smoke, at 56% the alcohol is surprisingly mild and sweet, water brings out more citrus and fruit
hot and sour, sweet tobacco, chocolatte, water reduce both the hot and sour, it also removes the tobacco I quite enjoyed, and the chocolatte turns to caramel
Hot pepper, very malty, drying, coco returns in the form of very dark bitter chocolatte, water makes a rather hot long finish go sweet and medium
- Better then 12-year-old.
