Whisky Reviews for Glendronach 2002

- I'm now half way though this bottle. Wow, it's changed into a Ardbeg chocolate bar. The sherry note has gone by the waist-side, but a heavy ash and chocolate on that palate with cappuccino has emerged. Quite different and pleasing. Still an excellent dram, but a drop to an 88 in my book.
- After letting it oxidize for two weeks at 2/3 full, a rich noise has developed with rich dark chocolate, sherry and toffee.
The palate; maraschino chocolate cherries, with coco, fruitcake and a hint sweet charcoal.
Excellent sherry cask strength release!
- Tag Notes:
Color Deep Gold
Nose Warm toffee and vanilla mellow to a gentle gingerbread.
Palate Warm, rich oak sweetness with raisins and gentle chocolate coated coffee beans.
