Punchy character, it starts straight away with only 46%, as if it wants to punch you in the face, but really great, intense tropic notes behind it with the necessary spiciness to compensate.
    • Nose
Lemongrass, fresh ginger, pineapple chips, melon, citrus zest, camphor, pistachio, tropical honey subtle, overall noticeable green spiciness that pushes the tropical fruits back a little after a short time
    • Taste
Pineapple chips, net melon, star fruit, kiwi, spicy, but more of a green spiciness than just alcohol, but the 46% is still overly present, pistachio, lime zest, camphor, some green matcha tea behind, eucalyptus, white grapefruit, especially with peel
    • Finish
ginger, almonds, green tea, eucalyptus, star fruit, medium to long with lots of heat from the body,

Colour: straw. Nose: wow, quite punchy! Extremely fragrant. Lots of tropical fruits, litchi, passion fruit, pineapple. Superb! Whiffs of Chanel n°5. Some very nice coastal notes. Develops on spices (cardamom). Really beautiful. Mouth: again, just beautiful. Bold and superbly balanced. Lots of tropical fruits, apricot jam, white pepper. Some smoke and some salt on the tongue. Tea (oolong), tobacco. What a great Lochside (like many 1981’s). Funny hints of soy sauce. I really like it! Long finish. 90 points

    Very good overly fruity Lochside.
    Simple but effective.

We are directly on the fruits, with a nice touch of exoticism.
Pineapple, papaya, green apple, lime, and even a little touch of durian.
      Lemon zest, white pepper.
      It's simple, but successful.

In the mouth, we continue in the line of the nose with a little more pep.
      The fruit is abundant, juicy.
Pineapple, orange, green apple, lime, papaya, passion fruit.
      Always a little creamy side.
Some green wood and pineapple bark.
    • Finish
      88 88
Long finish on exotic fruit, white pepper, a very light camphor and smoke.
Always woody a little green and a slight astringency in the final.

Such a great Lochside, well-suited for those who like their fruit with a bit of punch (even at 'just' 46 percent).
    • Nose
ell, it is fruity all right. Vibrant pink grapefruit, soft peach, banana candy, lychee and pineapple. Wonderful! Moves into a more porridge-y territory later on.
    • Taste
Ah, nice, more fruit here as well. Grapefruit is still the most dominant for me, but also oranges and apricot. In the background a slight hint of cardboard. Touch of white pepper and some bitterness. Nice balance. Somewhat reminiscent of those fruity Littlemills from the early nineties.
    • Finish
Long with less fruit, and more spices and wood.

  7. Feusi scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Very nice color, copper and amber. Fruity sweetness with very pleasant spicy malt notes. The first sip is very comfortable and soft, sweet, fruity and spicy. The very long finish brings everything what already smelled in the nose again and a spicy woody notes stays on the palate. A good one and with 46v% a beautiful dram. I give them 1 point more.

Fruity with gentle spices and a malty sweetness.
    • Taste
Smooth, sweet, fruity and spicy. very pleasant
    • Finish
Is very long with a malty sweetness and spicy wood.
