- Don't get me wrong... this is really nice... delicious in fact.. but to me, this is a bit tame... a bit underpowered. Probably not the best 1976 Benriach. Tasted at Old and Rare 2020 in London. Have a bottle at home that I'm debating whether or not to sell.
- Tasted in parallel of # 3550. More complex, a bit less fruity but superb.
More delicate than the # 3550 tasted in parallel.
Fruity quite delicate, camphorated and coiled. Pine bark. Berry. Light salted butter caramel.
Lemon, more fruity than nose. Still camphorated.
Delicate woody. Pepper. Light chocolate milk.
Finale on fruit, caramel and spices.
- What whisky! Enthusiasm 5/5
Whisky n ° 1439
Leather and explosion of exotic fruits! Intense ! Varnished wood. This nose is magnetic! Fleuri. A little minty.
Soften a little to the crème brûlée then the toffee very strongly. Milk chocolate. Who opened a pot of Nutella? Always the fruits overhang with fishing that stands out.
Wood has the attack. Rich and oily. Quite marked by the barrel with milk chocolate, spices well dosed. The "primary" markers of sherry are minimal, but we have a very juicy side too.
Intense and endless. She delicately covers her throat. Citrus notes. Full of subtle aromas that return by wave in retro-olfaction.
- Like this one, tropics as expected with a dark fruits background
Got some wood spices in the front, significantly reduced after a long breath, still a decent fruit bomb, peach flavouring, pineapple, kiwis, guava, comparable to a Bowmore in the 60s, definitely good stuff.
The tropical fruits are still playing the main role here, very juicy, mouthwatering and spicey, more coconut and pickled olives, inky kombu, umami, got some fresh mints and rosemary.
Long, mango juice, brown sugar, caramel brownie.

If you think that a distillery who is tired of drinking can't drink so many cups a day, you've been drunk.
Happy screaming BenRiach 1976!
A moist and moist color.
The soft feeling and plump cheesecake are as expected.
Sudden summer of Hyuga and baptism of Umegadae.
The contradictory fruitiness and Japanese sweetness are unbearable.
Earl Gray to mint.
Or the glossiness of the golden foil of golden iced coffee from Clement in a coffee shop.
There really is a sense of jump!
A peach theater with a soft feeling that jumps on a trampoline.
Thin flesh texture.
A sense of hollow,
Slightly delicious, such as crab and crab.
But there is no aggressive magic.
There is no solid system for Germany.
Lemon syrup pickles.
The citrus feel of the pie's contents.
Moreover, there is no sourness.
Satisfaction is felt only by the hardness of the tangerine outside.
The tingling sensation is thin.
Mango light lining.
If you think, the refreshing feeling of Bontang candy is gently scattered,
A delicious finish.
Well, BenRiach has been released too many times,
The recovery rate is not low, so I think it's okay.
- Yet another old Benriach that delivers....
Sherried fruits, Figs, Dates, White Raisins, Oak
Sweet fruits, mild pepper, Oaky tannins
oak ans fading out in bitter almond
- I've already tasted better BenRiach '76 bottlings. The wood speaks a little bit too loud for me. A friend paid approximately 485€ for it. I wouldn't.
