    87/88.
    • Nose
A nice complex nose with three faces. An oily exotic fruitiness: Papaya, pineapple, peaches on syrup and coconut. The malty base: Straw and dough. And finally spice: Pepper and Thai curry. With water also some apple.
    • Taste
Yellow raisin, peach, pepper and dough. With water more of the latter.
    • Finish
Darker notes like cocoa and caramel. Peach and almond in the background.

The perfect winterdram! Well done, Danny, Gerard, Jos,
Marc, Stephane and Chris. Great selection of cask and a worthy successor to the
first Maltclan bottling. Around 60 EUR.
    • Nose
I get a surprisingly fresh, slightly creamy and very
tropical nose. Sweet on banana and coconut, but also pineapple on the grill.
Quite herbal with dried grass and wild flowers, heather and ferns. Some stewed
apples too. Graeffe sugar on a buttered brown toast. Soft, but delicious.
    • Taste
On the palate, a veritable peppermix precedes a
truckload of vanilla and all the wonderful fruits from the nose. Despite the
high ABV, I do not feel the urge to add water. Mouth coating and very warming.
    • Finish
The finish is medium long and remains very spicy until
      the end.
