Whisky Reviews for Ben Nevis 1996 TWC
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.34 points
- Simple enough, but saturated with a mellow, astringent, woody-mineral, without pronounced sulfuric and insecticidal derivatives, not very interesting whisky, with time improves slightly, becomes softer and sweeter.
Open, raw, fresh wood, vanilla, carpentry workshop, thinner, sweet caramel notes, boiled condensed milk, mineral tones - drying plaster, grindstone; light vegetable notes - radish, cabbage; lemon peel.
Powerful, dense, woody-grassy with mineral notes, slightly astringent, lemon peel in unsweetened tea, creamy-pastry shades - toffee, condensed milk; exploding caramel.
Spicy, slightly bitter, tart oak, a little grapefruit crust, moderate sweetness, lemon peel.
