  1. lincolnimp scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Neat this is around the 83-84 point area but with water it is really much better 90-92 points so 88p is fair overall.
    • Nose
Now that is a crisp clean sherry, dark forest fruits a little spice, rum & raisin ice cream, faint hints of coffee.

      Very good.
    • Taste
There is plenty of spice but also an oaky bitterness, plum, ginger, fudge and some pepper.
    • Finish
Long, warming and slightly dry but with a slightly bitter finish

      With water:
Much better the bitterness has now gone, it has a lovely sherried sweetness, the nose is the same but the palate has improved no end.

    Tasting: January 2023
    • Nose
Old sherry, raisins, oak wood and well balanced spices.
    • Taste
Beautiful oak wood, sweetness, punch, nice raisins and mature peaches.
    • Finish
Medium to long with sweetness of raisins, bitterness of oak and coffee. The aftertaste is the best. Good coffee!

Excellent maturation, but I agree with lincolnimp, must be added some water to avoid excessive bitterness.

    • Taste

It's not very simple, spring. Delicate in flavor and taste. Flowers and a flower bed with flowers.
