    • Nose
Smoke, peat, ash, gouache, lemon peel and pulp, orange peel, sea freshness and salt, a touch of fresh champignons, creamy toffee, just sawn oak board, ascorbic acid, vanilla, a little furniture lacquer, green apple, medical notes - tablets , fresh bandage. 23
    • Taste
Full-bodied, dry (but closer to the middle the dram becomes sweeter). Spicy oak, black pepper, other spices, mineral water, delicate phenolic motifs, tablets and bandages, salt, sour apple, creamy toffee, salted caramel. 22
    • Finish
Very long, gradually fading, a little knitting. Oak tannins are intertwined with mineral notes and light smoke, at the very end a little menthol is added. 23
Interesting, original, powerful and at the same time very harmonious whisky. Balance 23

Whisky is excellent, of course, but a qualitative leap, commensurate with the price, is not observed compared to, say, an 18-year-old, yes, age, depth, half-tone, everything is there, but this release and fortresses were not spared, but here's some wow- there is no factor, and the price tag, as it were, suggests it’s better to take a few 18-year-olds or 10YO CS, there will be no less fun.
    • Nose
Open, wet, old processed wood, fine foliage, leather goods, puer, light peat hues, ash and mineral tones, creamy notes, toffee, fudge.
    • Taste
Thick, saturated, smoky peat, lemon peel, strong oak notes, coffee, tobacco, prunes, ash, strong black tea, bergamot, dark chocolate.
    • Finish
Spicy, tofane, sour-metallic notes, charred branches, sour prunes, coffee, cola, shades of dark beer, iodine, bandages, dark chocolate.

    Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Iodine-soaked bandages wrapped around a pineapple and set on fire.
Palate: Pineapple marinated in cough syrup, strong Earl Grey tea with honey, liquorice snails gratinated with scamorza.
Finish: Very long, dry, fruity and medicinal.
Overall: It is amazing how medicinal this old whisky still is. The complexity in this epic dram is enormous.

I agree with `The Nose`. It is a good and tasty whisky, but not very special compared with its price.

Much to expensive for what you get!  It is okay but nothing special! Buy the 18 year old better and for this money you can buy a few bottles

The first sniff, yes this Laphroaig, a powerfull sweetness with rich smoky notes in the nose. The phenolic notes (what you love in Laphroaig, isn`t it?) are rich and complex. A very long finish with spicy, smoky and peaty notes.
