Whisky Reviews for Laphroaig 25-year-old
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.76 points
- Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Iodine-soaked bandages wrapped around a pineapple and set on fire.
Palate: Pineapple marinated in cough syrup, strong Earl Grey tea with honey, liquorice snails gratinated with scamorza.
Finish: Very long, dry, fruity and medicinal.
Overall: It is amazing how medicinal this old whisky still is. The complexity in this epic dram is enormous.
- I agree with `The Nose`. It is a good and tasty whisky, but not very special compared with its price.
- Much to expensive for what you get! It is okay but nothing special! Buy the 18 year old better and for this money you can buy a few bottles
- The first sniff, yes this Laphroaig, a powerfull sweetness with rich smoky notes in the nose. The phenolic notes (what you love in Laphroaig, isn`t it?) are rich and complex. A very long finish with spicy, smoky and peaty notes.
