N: Malty, sweet=savoury, plasticine=cardboard nose with soft butter flap jack, mouldy oats and scented rose petals. More peculiar than terrible but certainly nothing to write home about.
T: Yikes - soft but soapy, peppery washing detergent. Water changes nothing but time will bring out more of the grain and [maybe the illusion] of oak. It even provides a moderate waxy mouthfeel on development
F: Despite a near calamity in the middle the soap subsides as the roses reappear, and with time there are the most fresh and vibrant fruit pickings to be gleaned moving into the finish - definitively clear blackberries as if one had been harvesting [and scoffing] all day. Serendipity leads to an unexpected treat, albeit a rather solvent one.
C: I can’t ever remember enjoying such a troubled dram. Guess i like blackberries.
