Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Massively deep and concentrated nose with creamy caramel and those
hints of rancio one gets in a very good, old brandy. Black pepper and
    toffee apples. Old leather.
Unctuous, almost syrupy palate entry with stem ginger and cassia bark.
Hints of nutmeg, clove oil and over-ripe black grapes. Black treacle
Finish: Long and toffee-led finish. All kinds of spice notes too, particularly more of those black pepper notes.

The scent of this whiskey is really great, deliciously sweet and complex. Unfortunately, that does not quite come back in the taste and finish.

The scent of this whiskey was by far the best, just super tasty. This creates a very high expectation pattern, and that is not completely fulfilled unfortunately. Many of the sweet and some fruity notes from the smell do not come back in the taste. As smooth as he smells, he drinks a bit stiffly.
    • Nose
Glue! But then: sweet, honey, coconut, vanilla, cake. Little cinnamon in the background. Alcohol only in the background. Later also some fresh (pine?) Wood comes through, toffee, caramel. And some orange, and after a bit longer a sweet, sweeteny smell comes along, gumballs.
    • Taste
Despite the low Abv, the taste is surprisingly full. Feels equally dry and stiff, slightly bitter in the background (wood influences?). Vanilla, honey, mint, and also a light pepper. Ginger, milk chocolate.
    • Finish
Medium-long, where especially the bitter and woody lingers longer. Light pepper, dry. Again ginger, honey.

After more than an hour the dram drunk, the experience is almost the same as before.
No water used. ABV was normal, the dram was wonderfully soft.
I like this. I think I can find my way here.

    • Nose
After 5 min: Again glue accompanied by grapefruit or orange. Something sweet, not much. After 30 min: The glue is still there, but slightly less. after a lot of sniffing, something of anise comes up and a smell reminds me of the cabbage fields of North Holland. Not tasty, but fortunately far enough in the background.
    • Taste
After 5 min: Something oily, not much and the smell of the orange comes back in the taste. A bit of wood on the back of the tongue. Light and creamy. After 30 min: Still oily, even creamier, you feel the whiskey thicken on the tongue.

Classic glue scent, 5 min later, sweet cotton candy, flowers perfume, but the glue air continues to dominate. After 15 minutes a hint of sherry.

Super sweet, looks like bourbon so I suspect a high corn content. Glue flavor is also there. After a while, there will also be a bit of a sherry taste. And chocolate after an hour.

    Full and fat

Finish: Medium to long. Sweet as in candy, some glue and some wood

Comments: 86 points. I found the glue to be a bit overwhelming, but all in all not a very bad starter

Those Invergordons are really lovely. This one is not as deep and mature as the recent 1972er bottlings, but it tastes still quite round and balanced, so i would guess that this is 30Y+.
Nice cask influence, some tannins, some sweet notes - great drink.

Banana fritter, flambé, caramel, sweet, coconut (milk?), creme caramel, vanilla. Not over oaked but there are some good tannins. Sweet. Dessert whisky for sure. Tertiary herbal flavours emerge.

Rumour has it there is 41 year old whisky in here - tastes like it.

One of the better single grains I have tasted - recommended at the original price (£60-odd quid for 50cl).
