    • Nose
      90 90
Lots of furniture polish. Apricot, rose petals and vanilla. Whiffs of soap, apple compote and banana.
    • Taste
      88 88
Now not only the polish, but the polished wooden furniture itself as well. Floral too. It's a bit weird actually, can't really live up to the nose.
    • Finish
      89 89
      Apple, wood, polish and nuts.

    Glen
    Elgin 1975/2007 (46%, Berry Bros &
    Rudd, casks 5167/5170)

    Nose: very appealing, compact yet
elegant, on pollen and lemon tree
    honey. Mouth: similar, with added
hints of verbena and yellow Chartreuse
    (herbs liqueur). Slightly waxy. A
very excellent dram. 90 points. (whiskyfun.com)

This is an unusual Speysider (elegantly fruity but with hints of smoke), very dynamic despite the age. Obviously from two great casks.
    • Nose
Elegant and fruity. Lots of sweet honey and juicy melon with mellow spices (mostly cinnamon). A bit of dusty, warm oak - works really well. Hints of tangerine, beeswax and pollen. The lightest whiff of smoke. Heather. A real treat with a lot of depth.
    • Taste
Notes of roasted grains. Quite some fruits again, but dried, candied fruits and sultanas this time. Kiwi. Hints of liquorice and vanilla. Gets surprisingly smokey with woody undertones and spices. Slightly tannic and salty.
    • Finish
Long and pretty complex. Oily, fruity and drying. Almonds and hints of leather.

    A very nice traffic jam.
    • Nose
Very focused on candied fruit on a background of cold ash. Floral scents come to mix (geranium). Mango. A little salt. He is very intense, ample and generous. Leather. Beautiful nose!
    • Taste
She follows perfectly the nose, on the fruits of passion, salt. A little behind at the beginning, it explodes immediately on a multitude of flavors.
    • Finish
Long and follow the mouth. Salted butter, fruits. Herbaceous.
