http://www.kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=284 Color: full gold Nose: Dull, slightly spicy and slightly bland. Lots of wet leather, wax and strong salty lime. In search of more we find subtle herbal flavors and a hint of black tea ... that's it! Taste: Soft and spicy. Absolutely round and kräutrig-fresh. Caramel, honey, vanilla, hints of stinging nettle and delicate fruit notes. Not bad, but we expected something different! Finish: Relatively short, but very harmonious. Sweet moments counter the fresh and bitter herbal attacks. The fruit runs inferior with - not too sweet, not too tart, very pleasant and delicious. 90 points N: 89P / G: 89P / F: 91P

Extra! As on many old whisky, the nose is to fall, if the mouth was a little more powerful ... A big whisky and a lot of emotion.
    • Nose
Undeniably old. A little dust, OBE well present without being invasive, some sweet spices and lots of stewed fruits but the whole is very melted and, above all, very marked by a resinous side: pine resin, propolis. A veil of smoke gradually gains power over the airflow just like the metal side of the OBE. Top. A relatively expressive nose despite the 35 years in bottle.
    • Taste
As you might expect, the attack is a little soft. Begins with light notes of papier-mache but they fade quickly and give way to phenolic and resinous notes with fruits, a little honey and I do not know, surely many other things but the whole is incredibly melted.
    • Finish
Very long despite the rather low aromatic power. Notes of light peat, resins and fruit compote ultra melted with a little linseed oil also.
