Very nice whisky. Exciting, as he starts restrained in the nose and on the tongue first, and then after a while, one flavor after the other rauszuhauen.

At first restrained. But then with vehemence: cool smoke with a greasy note in the background. Some menthol. Red berry fruits. The smoke increases in intensity; Sea associations crowd in: salt, seaweed, algae. Now also phenol. Grease gets in. Always accompanied by the red berries, which turn out to be strawberries and currants. Fresh cut flowers. Cloves. Anise. Some caraway. It's interesting how many flavors peel out.

Very mild onset, but clearly phenolic smoke. Spicy and pleasantly fruity. Beautifully balanced, even at the beginning. Fresh tarred road, the steaming tea kettle is still at the side. Just a stone's throw away the sea. Flooded wood, algae, seaweed, salt. As in the nose, it starts properly on the tongue after a while. Grainy note, malt, honey. A splash of lemon. Toffeebonbons. And always this delicious phenolic peaty smoke.

Medium long and slightly dry. The smoke has not given way. Still a little orange flavor, otherwise dominate peat smoke, oak and mild herbs.

Notes were created during a blind tasting!
In fact, I would have given the whisky just 3 years and a day, so young did it affect me. Otherwise not hui, but not bad. It's ok, but I find the newer Bowmores with a young age statement much better, like the 9yo Sherry or the 10yo Inspired by DC.

Here I have to say that I smelled directly on receipt of the sample on the vial and the smoke was immediately in the nose. In fact, I was of the opinion to have got a Kilchoman. This impression is now obsolete after the first smell of the glass. This is definitely not an Islay smoke and I do not think even a Scot. The smoke is very present. Add to that a note that I consider typical of young German whiskys. I always interpret cumin here. There is also something chocolate and some red fruit. Guess at least a sherry / wine finish. Over time, the unpleasant caraway becomes weaker and I can fade it out. This also applies to the smoke. Below is a young malty note, which reinforces my impression. The basic note is now grainy and sweet. I am afraid of being totally wrong and therefore I am very excited about the taste.

also rather young, slightly alcoholic, but not spicy, a lot of caramel, sherry is definitely here, also here neat smoke in the game, sweet

holds itself only briefly, a slight sweetness is still in the mouth, like from a Süßstofftablette, grape and grape skin, no more smoke, I could also have just eaten a grape
