Whisky Reviews for Glen Elgin 1995 SV
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.71 points
Fruity, honeyed, touch of gingerbread. A little solvent and spring flowers. Fresh. Delicate. The water gives it a little sweetness but also malt, vanilla cream and some apples.
Mellous, little alcoholic kick. Fruits, dried fruits. Vanilla. The water does him good, without extinguishing his passion, which all the same gives him character. It makes it more fat and enveloping. Peppery spices, spicy.
The fruits, yellow plums, mirabelle compote a little. Slight drought. Fine and elegant.
- Master key. Good little starter.
Fresh, clean, fruity, light. A little erased even. Citrus, zests. Herbaceous (a little sap)
More expressive than the nose. Fruity attack, spicy mid-palate. Malty and cereal (biscuity) in the finish with a return of pepper (a little). We note the presence of a floral and fragrant touch. A little watery. Vanilla is very present and takes the form of a synthetic vanilla (always this touch of perfume).
Quite long, on a light and pleasant bitterness.
- Very nice by its sweet and salty side.
Petit Beurre biscuit, yellow apple peel.
Sweet and winey, close to sweet and salty. Almond paste.
A small wooded drought and a pinch of salt.
