  1. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Tried at the regulars' table, therefore shorter notes.
Very own and strange Inchgower, not completely uninteresting or disgusting, but not good either.
    • Nose
Dusty nougat, walnut, macadamia nuts, almonds, grated coconut, butterscotch, toffee, some cereals
    • Taste
Parmesan? Old apple peel, walnut, parchment, sugar candy, some ginger, thyme, cereals
    • Finish
Dry, a bit spicy, medium length

F: medium golden N: very spicy: Mixed-pickles, sour-dry, a little alcohol G: creamy-voluminous, sweet with mixed pickles A: long, alcoholic, otherwise as above + H2O: new: almond marzipan, better than without water! + H2O: degrades: moderately with the water
Slanted, but very good for me!

    The odd one out in
this quartet of casks. The nose and the palate appear to be from two different
whiskies. Nevertheless very entertaining and interesting.
    • Nose
      Woodsmoke, farmer
butter, caramel, candied sugar, toffee, butterscotch, this is a sweet one! The
herbal and floral sides emerge soon, as well. Potpourri, for example. Sweet
malt. Thyme and mint. Pinch of salt. Stewed apples. Cinnamon. I quite like this.
Evolves slowly but surely towards nuts. Peanuts, in fact. Adding water makes it
green and spicy, if you know what I mean.
    • Taste
      On the palate, it is
very sharp and spicy. Ginger, curry, mustard, thyme. Make that Cajun spices. It
drowns out any fruit, making this one less sweet and seemingly unbalanced. Add
      water to add sweetness.
    • Finish
      The finish is nicely
long and warm, spicy and gently fades on the sweetness of the nose.

    Bottler`s Notes:

Color: Deep gold.Nose: Toast. Fruity, malty, spicy sponge pudding, cinnamon, peanut brittle toffee.
Palate: Burnt Cajun spices and ginger, fine herbs.
Conclusion: An exceptionally different aged malt - curious.
