Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain 1974 DL

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 90.64 points

  1. Waykid scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

Very nuanced and many-faceted yet coherent, deep. The nose is impressive and a beautiful taste. Really excellent.
    • Nose
Rumraisin, stringent green apple hut, maple syrup, glue, dark coffee beans. This is really delicious.
    • Taste
Dry and pungent sherry, strong in the direction of the delicious Glendronach 1972, 38 cask 718. Then gets a bit sweeter. The sherry (with dark chocolate, raisins, dry dates and figs, liquer infused cherries, dark coffee and tiny earthy notes) is very strong, yet not woody nor too overpowering.
    • Finish
      Mocha, barley sugary malt. Longish.

  2. Malt Hans scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

Fruity and spicy aroma, raisins, prunes, leather, cloves, nutmeg, parsley, pepper, mint, cellar, nailpolish, red apples, coffee beans, vanilla, tea leaves,  Marzipan sweet taste, eucalyptus, tannins, ginger, resin, walnuts and dark chocolate. Long, spicy and herbal end.
