Fantastic dram that opens up slowly.
Lowland floreal attributes at nose leave little by little space to a robust and sweet dram. Lovely.

    C: Straw yellow.

N: Chamomile flowers, cloves and honey could bring our noses to recognize the tipical “Lowlander smell”, but then something goes wrong and different smells comes out: wet ground (mold), copper, glue and a spiced cumin with dry tomatoes. With the addiction of water the alcoholic percentage becomes pungent, grape must and cherries.

P: Italian Rossana’s candies, beer and a strong wet wood element, then a warm spice that activate the palate. The last taste is bittersweet with the addiction of tobacco pipe. With water just few fresh fruits notes.

F: Long and persistent: wood, tobacco pipe and then again chamomile flowers, cherries and dry peaches.

An amazing tasting experience away from the speculative logics of the job market, the armony of the whole elements creates a unique quality.

    Cool whisky, and quite good.
    • Nose
Neat: At first it’s very closed off. First thing that comes to mind are bitter citrus notes, like lemon and lime zest, combined in some sort of cake. Cause there’s a burnt sugar here, that’s for sure, like a citrus-based Crème brûlée. And maybe a hint of cinnamon.

With water: What a transformation. Melon, pineapple, honey, cherries together with some sweet, sweet cinnamon. Really an enjoyable nose here.
    • Taste
Neat: Bitter sweet lemon, with some liquorice (quite a lot actually), and again some cinnamon. Very cool indeed!

With water: Sweet lemon, melon, sugar and vanilla. Sounds very standard, but the proportion of these very “traditional” aromas are very well balanced in an unorthodox way. Cool!
    • Finish
Neat: Medium long, and it finds it way back to the cake character again, which was to bad, cause I really enjoy the liquorish side to this malt.

With water: About the same, but more fruitiness.
