Cranberry, apricot, plum, peat, raspberry and caramel. With water also cherry.
Much more peat than in the nose. Caramel, cranberry, milk chocolate, plum, apricot, tobacco and pepper.
Dark chocolate, peat smoke, cranberry, plum, tobacco, pepper and eucalyptus.
- Very nice malt! Light smoke and sherry
Yes, there is smoke in there. However, I can get used to the smoke quite well and quite quickly. A light sea breeze, dark sweet citrus like tangerine and some oak.
Smoke (rather campfire), a slight tingling, but very short; extremely sweet, fruity, oily.
- I like it! For a nine year old whisky, this is quite tasteful.
Strong. The typical Bowmore scent, plus something extra. Not sure what it is.Some kind of fruit or spice. First I thought vanilla, but that's not quite it.
Typical Bowmore taste, but less salty and more oaky. Again strong. Somewhat spicier too. First peat, changing into smoke, nice. Not very fruity. Medium sweet.
Fading fast but lingering long. Somewhate dry.
- Not bad at all. Quite something different than the standard Bowmore range.
Spicy nose with heavy peat. More than I would have expected from a Bowmore. Some menthol and the salty sea. Nice fruits, not too dark though.
Very interesting, not burning at all. There is quite some oak now, nicely balanced with the smoke. But then again not as fruity as I would have thought.
Not that long to be honest. Quite medium. Dry finish. Little bitterness.
