Relatively simple, but very nice old profile; back out unfortunately fast away.

    • Taste
      87 87
waxy-oily, spicy, with dark chocolate, ginger, walnut oil, some rose water, light honey sweetness, pear, canned peach and pineapple
    • Finish

short to medium length; with dark chocolate, ginger, coffee with cream, rose water, some black tea, mild sweetness, canned peach

  4. Kalleholzbein scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Had judged him due to the mediocre reviews weaker. Do not think it's bad! Only the 46% and a minimal bitter finish could be interpreted as negative.

  5. MaltMartin scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A very decent and fruity Glen Albyn. Lots of character for a 46% abv.
    • Nose
Fresh fruit coctail of bananas, peachs and pineapples. Sweet barley and some vanilla. Quite lively.
    • Taste
Surpisingly mouthfilling and waxy. Pear drops. Honey and vanilla again. Yellow fruit and delicate oak. Cinnamon.
    • Finish
Long. The sweetness remains for a long time. Some wood. A little spicy at the end.

  6. Feusi scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

A veritable fruit cocktail in the nose, but not what the nose promises. This is a kind of an old whisky. A fruity sweetness on the palate, but a bit flat and quickly forgotten in the finish.
