- Wow, what a feast this is. I am happy I was able to try it again in the serenity of my whisky corner in the living room.
The nose is sweet and waxy. Honey biscuits with raisins, pineapple, guava and stewed plums. Some mint, cinnamon and nutmeg. A truckload of marzipan and honey. I just love this. In the distance, I get some oak and something of cold lime tree tea. After a few moments, it gets pretty floral as well. Nice, nice, nice.
It glides seductively over the taste buds, creamy and spicy. Now the oak is immediately present, softly drying and very fresh with a lot of mint. The fruit is stewed. Tea adds a bitter touch. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Oranges surface. This does not need any water.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The finish is medium long, with a great balance between the wood on the one hand and the sweet marmalade of fruits on the other.
