Overall, a very pleasant whisky, with an extremely good price-performance ratio (currently just under 40 €). In the finish unfortunately a bit short and flat, but very versatile in the nose. The "Journey" definitely does not have to hide behind its comparable bottlings from Scotland (eg Glenmorangie) and does better for me personally.
A great introduction to the Glen Els series!
Sweet fruits, light spice. Few floral notes, but of course the wine notes outweigh. With time some toffee / caramel.
For a whisky of this age wonderfully complex nose and extremely versatile. I like it!
A very soft and mild start prepare the way for a wonderful sweetness. Here you will find a dominant toffee / caramel taste, which you already knew from the nose. Behind it a light red wine note, which gives the whole a stronger / darker touch. Delicious!
Here, unfortunately, a bit disappointing, but at a high level. The sweetness flies quite fast, the finish is accordingly short and mild.
