This whisky is very light. The nose is surrounded by a potpourri of fruits. It's hard to identify individual fruits, maybe bananas? A pleasant sweetness is there too. In the mouth, the fruit mix is again. Again, the banana seems to be there, but also many other things. After a while you will notice vanilla and a touch of oak in the background. That's where the bourbon barrel comes to the fore. The finish is intense and leaves behind some welcome sharpness. A whisky that is difficult to grasp with words, but so much easier to enjoy! Round and balanced, he just makes fun.
Initially subtle with honey, fresh laundry, vanilla, flowers and citrus. A bit of hard yellow marshmallow blocks (schuimblokken). A very velvet nose. Then unexpectedly however, in the taste there are also whiffs of liquorice, antique furniture and coal (barbecue?) smoke, without being peaty. The taste and finish are quite different from the nose. Interesting dram, pretty complex.
