This is sherry and oak down very well. Anyone who hates on Dalmore has not tried it before, as this can go toe to toe with Glendronach and Macallan in my humble opinion.
    • Nose
      90 90
Stewed red fruits, strawberry, cranberry, leather, milk chocolate
    • Taste
      91 91
Velvety, a perfect amount of oak and spice now join the sherried fruits.
    • Finish
      89 89
The spice lingers with a surprising amount of heat for this abv. Strawberries and cream

A big fat disappointment (especially if you factor in the price). Give me the 12 or the 15 over this any day.
Cardboardy, thin, weak, and woody. Its only saving grace is the finish, when the lovely Dalmore spirit character comes through with a late burst of juicy, sticky-sweet oranges. But alas: too little, too late...

Christmas cake, frosting and dried dark fruits. Beautiful balanced aroma with exceptional bourbon foundations, plus sherry without any annoying flavor. This one smells better than its tastes yet those two sensations are not far away.

Crispy apple pie with stewed strawberry, almond, vanilla, apricot jam and dry wood.

Pretty good on the nose, unfortunately a bit too much of soapy notes on the palate, but going away in the finish

    - a very ripe, delicious sherry malt
    - has a very light, soft mouthfeel (almost too thin for some people => ideal for beginners)
    - for all super drinkable, very elegant, typical gentleman whisky
    - a little more refined and better (more elegant) than the 15, but not twice as expensive

very mild, fruity, subtle, sweet, berries, sweet fruits / sherry

extremely soft approach, very elegant, filigree, sweet and fruity, sweetish sherry taste, subtle oak in the background, somewhat bitter at the end

    very soft, medium-long fruity finish;
    medium-long woody-fruity, slightly bitter finish

The nose reveals nice vinous notes, old wood, a cigar box where tobacco leaves have remained, then, the fruits are presented gently with prune, raisins and red fruits.
A fairly short time will give way to spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.

On the palate, the texture is tender, the winey notes of the nose are present, olorosso and plum.
The nut dominates in the company of chocolate and mocha.
Aeration opens the doors to the freshness which therefore accompanies this depth with a burst of lemon, a sign that the American oak has not been swallowed by the Sherry cask.

The finish stretches out with a sweet, spicy, vanilla sensation.
