Whisky Reviews for Double Barrel Bowmore / Ledaig DL

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.00 points

  1. ffmdino did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

the second best of the three double barrels
but here too the smoke is too dominant (OK Bowmore and Ledaig are both smoky what I expected)
    • Nose
thin, minimal smoke, light ham, vanilla, the alcohol tingles a little, buisquit ??, spice leaves (laurel?), oak
    • Taste
soft and silky on the palate
Smoke, vanilla, herbs, burnt wood?, Heavily smoked ham, maggie herb, a note that I can not name / hold firm
    • Finish
      rather short
Oak, bitter / bitter, nutty, a slight hint of cola Haribo bear

  2. Jean-Brice scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

    Nice but nothing special
    • Nose
Peaty, fine but not very complex. Medicinal herbs, earthy, biscuity.
    • Taste
In the continuity of the nose
    • Finish
