  6. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    Blind tasting.
    • Nose
      First
of all sherry. Almond and orange from sherry, but also salty sea air and a slight
maltiness. A sharpness that suggests a young age, but strangely also a
slight dustiness. The sharpness does not fade away quickly and simply begs for a drop
      of water.
    • Taste

      Full-bodied.
Again a lot of sherry, but 'darker' than the nose. Again orange and almond like in
the nose, but now also mocho, dark cherries and mainly raisins. Although the nose gives a too
young impression, the taste doesn't. Despite its high ABV it doesn't really
      need water.
    • Finish

      Mocha,
orange and raisins. A whiff of rubber in the long run, but not disturbing.

  7. St. Pauli scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Very pleasant dram for the sherry lovers! Not a sherry bomb, but a pleasant amount accompanied by a nice fresh sea breeze and herbs.
    • Nose
An abundance of sweet barley (sherry), oak, raisins and a salty breeze.
    • Taste
Full-bodied and sweet, barley, raising, mild spices (probably from the oak).
    • Finish
Pleasant, sweet, with again sherry and oak, chocolate, herbs and a little salty breeze.
