Wow! Smashed that one right out of the park!
An ‘85 that speaks volumes of a lost distillery. So soft and super rich fruit bomb that will take you on a trip!
    • Nose
      92 92
The nose opens with honey soaked wool socks, tangerine and jasmine, green tea and soft grassiness. Passion fruit and grapefruit home cakes... something like that?!
    • Taste
      91 91
The palate is just as fruity; soft citrus rind and honey tarts, white tea soft tannins blend with passion fruit pavlova; yeah there’s even meringue in there too. Herbal sharpness starts to work it’s way in and bring a gravel mineral and oak spice.
    • Finish
      90 90
Wow, the finish is long. Surprisingly so! Heather and bush cuttings with some oak tannins and caramel sauce. White peach and almond, more herbs that will make you yearn for more.

Wonderful Littlemill which takes water nicely to accentuate the delivery from nose to finish.

I think my personally favorite Littlemill I had so far, the dirty and the focus on fruit, acidity and strength are exactly mine, because the hay fits well then purely.
    • Nose
First nice herbaceous, thyme, oregano, some rosemary, hay, then with time getting more and more exotic, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple and papaya, apple strudel
    • Taste
Strong onset, everything from the nose is spreading and it is very dirty, oregano, thyme, grapefruit, lemon zest, passion fruit and pineapple, red apple with a lot of acid, herbal honey, hearty malt, licorice
    • Finish
Long, warming and powerful, kitchen herbs, grapefruit peel, green apple, dried pineapple and malt

The best Littlemill so far and after a bad nose. Fortunately, it tastes better than it smells, but this typical Littlemill note of hay, herbs and herbs is still too strong. Absolutely not mine.
    • Nose
Alcohol, herbs, cabbage, cupcake muff, hay, but slightly moldy, a little vanilla and lemon
    • Taste
some alcohol, sweet, also here herbs and hay, as well as the cabbage, a little vanilla and oak
    • Finish
Sweetness, oak and still the herbs

An excellent Littlemill bottling - recommended.
    • Nose
Wow! Intensive notes of Calvados and overripe apples at first nosing. Apple strudel! In addition there is a fresh flowery perfumed component and some pineapple in the background. Lovely.
    • Taste
Surprisingly powerful, oaky and fruity at first mouthfeel. There are plenty of citrus fruits - lecker. Then some smoke is coming up, more and more tannins and spicy aromas.
    • Finish
Long with plenty of tannins, becoming dry and very spicy. A little bitter in the aftertaste.

This is the most intense Littlemill i ever tasted. It has all the wonderful classic aromas of a boubon matured Littlemill, but it is almost like a "concentrate". Great stuff. Not so balanced like the Whiskybase bottling, but still a really good one!
