Whisky Reviews for buair an diabhail of Islay tempt the devil

Quite an unusual nose. I do not like the bitterness / acidity in the finish. It's delicious, but you have to like it too.
    • Nose
Clear citrus and honey notes. Of course, with a pleasant smoke content. Not phenolic and clearly recognizable as Laga. Very minimal cheeses, as I actually know from Laddie. In addition salt, vanilla and a slight alcohol note.
Water does not necessarily do the nose good, but the alcohol notes are stronger and the aromas go back.
    • Taste
Nice honey sweetness. Not too much, but not too little. In addition, the vanilla increases significantly, the citrus notes are almost gone. There is still some seasoning for that.
    • Finish
Short to medium. At the end there is a certain bitterness, maybe like an acid lemon. Vanilla. Oak and lemon are now there, less the honey and the smoke,
