- Rather medium-bodied. I really liked the flavour combinations in this one, and it's a really nice dram all in all - but for me the alcohol could have been a little bit better integrated (young age and high ABV is not always a great combo for me).
Tasted blind as the 18th whisky of my 2016 whisky advent calendar.
Vanilla, grapefruit mixed with toffee, some honey undercurrent, peach, marmalade, oak, old-fashioned puffy candy, some woody and slightly nutty malt, coconut, a tad of smoke (?), fresh peat, rich and full spices, freshly roasted coffee, leather, tobacco, apples after a while, sweet and mellow wood-spices.
A trace amount of smoke (?), tobacco, apples, a honey note, toasted oak, some peach, leather, coconut, citrus and cream.
Quite long - cream, a little bit of smokiness (?), apples, leather, a subtle nuttiness after a little while, old-fashioned puffy candy, coconut and toasted oak.
