  1. sagara-kun scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

    Beautiful. An unparalleled balance.
We would like it to be broken to have a little more power.
    • Nose
Very pretty nose wrapped in rancio and camphor. Apricot, peach, papaya. White pepper.
      Quince, clove.
    • Taste
In the mouth it is soft, light and watery. We have apricot, peach, wood and spices. Cinnamon, ginger, pepper. White flower.
    • Finish
Finale on peach, apricot, camphor. It looks nice.

  2. dram-drinker scored this whisky 90 points Moderator

Really fruity, rather light and easy drinkable, still some spices but indeed, probably they should not have lowered the abv to the min 40% and it would have got an even higher rating - overall still pretty good
    • Nose
      91 91
Full of peach, banana, vanilla, quince, yellow apple, little honey, spices, little oak wood, pepper, hints of caramel and candy, probably also some exotic fruits, pineapple and such - really good
    • Taste
      90 90
Oily, creamy, little sirupy, good sweetness, fruity, more peach, banana, pineapple, vanilla, wood spices, pepper, alos hints of books, apricot - still good
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium long, warm, fruity, spicy, more vanilla

  3. Baanaanaabob scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Nice old style glen grant a bit of sherry influence, citrus fruits, some dirtiness

  4. NorthernSpirit scored this whisky 90 points Member Senior

Tried on a fair, without the peace he deserved.
    • Nose
Strong herbal notes dominate the entry. Behind it, dense, dry sherry unfolds. The density and complexity, especially in view of the alcohol strength is impressive, in the nose could be lost forever.
    • Taste
Age is present from the beginning, musty notes and intense influence of old sherries. As you would taste any of the 46 years. These are joined by subtle chocolate tones.
More alcohol and he would be a firework. And still: Wow.
    • Finish
      Sounds for a while.
