- ["Another brick in the wall" tasting session - n°4]
It sits on a tough seat after the stunning Strathisla 35yo Bicentenary, but it's very good, no doubt. Would benefit from an isolated tasting. The fresh egg notes are not something you find everyday.
Very delicate, this has a hard time competing with the massive Strathisla. Tangerine, peach skin. Light paraffin. Fresh hazelnuts. Artisanal mayonnaise. Sabayon. This thing is actually very egg-forward, which is great, and uncommon.
Very soft arrival, then crescendo in power, develops a drier texture, citrus and fresh eggs indeed, some light chlorine (which is not uncommon in old fruity drams).
Chlorine, fresh eggs, nice acidity.
