This is the best 90s single cask Glendronach in my humble opinion. Comparable to some late 70s Gelnfarclas family casks but more fruity. In fact, I gave it the same score as the 1970 family cask (#6778). The old wooden stationary smell is very charming. After 10 minutes, some fruity sourness surfaces and it becomes all very lovely.

A lot going on and very interesting, but too much sherry and dry/tannic for me.
    • Nose
Heavy. Rubber. Soy sauce. Raisins. Caramel. Burnt vanilla. Fresh paint. Tar. Something candy-like in the background.
    • Taste
Dry. Raisins. Dark bitter chocolate. Toffee apple. Black coffee with maple syrup. Coal smoke.
    • Finish
Long and drying. Burnt sugar. Rubbery.

    LMDW note:
A very rare cuvée of a distillery more and more appreciated by the amateurs, Glendronach 1992 comes from a single barrel, the number 1123. Bottled without reduction, to its natural degree, it is marked on the nose by notes of demerara sugar, spices and chocolate raisins, and on the palate with notes of mocha, raisins, dark chocolate, traditional rum, fruit cake and caramel apples.
