Plenty of dried fruits, figs, dates, plums, raisins, toffee, dark chocolate, little brown sugar and molasses, hinst of rubber, heavy sherry wood, nutmeg, cinnamon, little meaty - excellent!
    • Taste
      95 95
Oily, creamy, liquorice, good sweetness, more dried fruits, some menthol, eucalyptus, toffee, dark chocolate, coffee, sherry wood, little herbal - delicious!
    • Finish
      92 92
Long, warm, more liquorice, little more punchy, littl eherbal and tannic, not drying

extremely fruity, with a great balance

  4. Chesterfield scored this whisky 98 points Expert Senior

Dark, heavy, full-bodied, intense, old, leathery, spicy and beautiful oak in a long finish. Just a perfect whisky for me! Unfortunately very expensive, but still a very special, exceptional whisky experience to celebrate the best moments of life ;-)

Extremely spicy and bitter oak, but I likes this grotesque one.
    • Nose
Sherry, forest fruits, citruses, spicy oak and maple syrup.
    • Taste
Sweet sherry and bitter oak. Pepper, nutmeg, forest fruits, mint and coffee.
    • Finish
      Long, bitter, oaky.

I am tempted to say this is a little woody which is expected at this age, I am also tempted to say it shpuld have been bottled a few years earlier but I really enjoyed this and it holds itself together well and while the oak invades a little it does not overwhelm.

    With Water

The nose is a little more expressive, and the palate is a little  sweeter but you cannot hide the wood at this age.

    I like it.
    • Nose
Massive sherry and it smells old, chocolate black cherry, , rum??, fudge, blackberry.
    • Taste
Its a fight from the start between the sweet sherry and the bitter woody notes.

The sweetness grows on blackberry, raspberry and there is a welcome fruity fizz which grows. red plum, with dark red apple skin
    • Finish
Medium length, with a slightly bitter tail.

  10. aby scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

nose: (maple) syrup, blue forestfruit, mint, laurel, nutmeg

taste: slightly bitter, a lot of wood, blue berries

    aftertaste: sigarleaves

overall: a bit to much wood in the taste to mark it 90+, a very nice Longmorn non the less  90p.
