Very tasty, still properly peaty Ardbeg with a nice age, which nicely rounds off the malt, peat and herbs and slightly sweetened them, the% are a little bit little for him and a little WOW factor is missing for even more.
    • Nose
Dark chocolate, ground coffee, a touch of dried lemon peel in between and some peach, black olives, capers, beautifully full, slightly sweet malt, moss, rosemary, cedarwood, forest honey, cardamom, cereals and dried ginger
    • Taste
Cardamom, sweet peach, fine, still quite concise peat, camphor, conifers, autumn leaves, rosemary, ginger, great malt, olives, moss, a hint of allspice and dry coffee powder
    • Finish
Crisp malt, conifers, a hint of salt and pepper, moss, orange peel and very dry apple chips hinted at, medium to long

The smell is very ripe without the smoke has lost its power, for the low alcohol content, it is very intense. The taste goes perfectly with the nose and continues the picture in a harmonious way. The finish lacks a bit of complexity. A mature, smoky whisky from a bourbon barrel that shows what you expect from it. I like such ripe whiskys.
    • Nose
gentle smoke, lemon, strong, honey, it is sweeter, vanilla and caramel, peach juice, the smoke provides a spicy undertone, sugared lime, overall very spicy, grilled pork neck, the smoke is not so strong, but very present, the caramel gets stronger over time
    • Taste
Light body, medium ingress, slightly astringent, smoke and spicy oak dominate, but also the sweet peach juice is back and connects wonderfully with the smoke, chicken broth
    • Finish
The finish consists mainly of sweet smoke, the spice is surprisingly clear, but the taste of the oak remains long.

blind I would not have typed on Ardbeg necessarily this whisky lacks excitement, it is tasty and harmonious, pleasant to drink
    • Nose
directly after pouring without movement: bourbon notes, smoke, sweet grain, honey later with movement: oily, sweet pop corn in medical smoke, soft sweet French apricot, fleshy sweet, a flashback between Talisker and Laphroaig, now camphor, citrus notes and caramel - the nose develops harmoniously and softly
    • Taste
soft onset with caramel in the smoke, citrus and later chocolate on the palate - the mouth has despite soft onset and even strength, develops ripe fruit, the smoke remains pleasant and unobtrusive, smoke with chocolate powder and clove on the palate
    • Finish
medium, for a Ardbeg a rather weak finish, pleasant with sweet ripe fruit taste and some smoke and clove

Wonderfully round, gentle and yet complex. Nevertheless, probably a little too diluted.
    • Nose
First very fruity sweet in the nose. The smoke is very reserved. Light maritime notes are distributed in the glass. With a bit of warmth, these maritime, peaty notes are enhanced and replace the sweet fruit. The nose suggests a very soft, oily character.
    • Taste
Very round and soft. Maybe a bit too soft (?). Very complex. Not easy to read out here single.
    • Finish
The complex smoke employs the palate for a moment. Then he pulls back and lets the still fresh oak aroma come through. Strong finish that lasts for a long time.
