Nose: A bowl of tropical fruits, Papya, Rockmelon, Lime. Over all of this is a lot of sweetness, sugar candy and marzipan. After 10 minutes the malt and a bit of spice creeps in underneath.
Body: Medium mouthfeel, a little bit oily which is nice. The one which stands out is green grape and the malty grain comes through much stronger now. Slight white chocolate hints and at the back of all this a lovely spicy dry note. Definitely the highlight of this whisky
Finish: The spice comes roaring in now and envelops the mouth, dry and a bit of nutmeg and clove. Still that bit of sweetness to balance it and goes on for a good length.
Balance: Well balanced and the flavour profile flows throughout, the ex sherry butt adds that bit of spice to balance out the sweetness at the start otherwise this would almost be like confectionary.
nice Bourbon Bunny although its not really my favourite style of flavour profile. I can see some loving this but for me a solid 84.
