"In many ways is so similar, not the same. It's so identifiably similar to all Aberlour A'bunadhs that I've had before."

delicious and sweet but only diluted to enjoy, not the sherry bomb she pretends to be, it took half the bottle before I could fully enjoy the whisky
    • Nose
Sherry and alcohol, sweet, vanilla, honey, always, more malty sweetness, offers room to discover, but is not so easily accessible, an undefinable note that reminds me of freshly laundered laundry
    • Taste
spicy, europ. Oak, a lot of sherry, bitterness, oranges, sweet
    • Finish
creamy sweet and spicy, medium long

deeper colouring than the 16 year old, the original sherry monster! Not
overly powerful on the nose, some obvious sherry but not as much as I'd have
expected given the colouring. Sherry comes through way more on the palate,
almost likely a baileys cream  Not for
the faint of heart but nice.  Much
    better finish than the 16

Nose: Like a liqor. Packed with flavor. Fruit bouquet of red fruits like strawberry, cherry with ripe fruits like apple, banana, pineapple and some apricot. Cream, caramel, fudge, raisin, nuts, vanilla and some sweet spices. Gets more creamy and nutty with some water and air.

Taste: Without water it's quite sharp and aggressive. Give it some water and let it settle for about 20 or 30 minutes and you'll experience a different whisky. Still it won't be a calm whisky though. It does feel a bit young. It's quite thin, but sweet and a lot of spices.

Finish: It's quite dry, but with a nice medium long lingering finish with dried fruits and spices mostly.

Presentation: super cool bottle and classy packaging.

Note: It's flavor is immense, but the downside it's a bit aggressive and young. It's not a nice oily settled bouquet of flavors. It's feels a bit unbalanced and unfinished, but flavor packed nonetheless.

good nose, not spectaculair. nice warm flavours, dark fruits. very nice taste but the finish a bit too dry for my taste. fair price and I always like the simple but stylish presentation of aberlour.

After opening t's still a bit restless, sharp and chaotic. It probably needs more air to settle down.

Lovely deep sherry flavors. Reminds me of Glenrothes 2007 AD and Glendronach CS somewhat, but less good. It's probably the unsettled part. Will re-rate later.

    From a purchased sample
    • Nose
Very rich and slightly sweet cherries, chocolate, vanilla extract,
menthol, and dark red berry jam. As it opens up I found more of the
fudgy characteristics in fig compote and fruit cake. Orange liqueur and
pecan pie filling (who doesn't like any of that?) It's nice and very
    • Taste
Warm and a little fiesty (current note to self: duh.) I really like
this. Chocolate malt, cherries, strawberry jam. Wood is a little drying
and provides some structure. Orange rind, chocolate and orange liqueur.
There's a trend here. Maybe a subtle strain of honey and buttery
caramel. Definitely pecan pie. (I like this a lot; I also happened to be
a very fat kid. I really liked pecan pie.) Oxidative note from the
    • Finish
Very well on sherry - all around. The high-pitch and the low-pitch.
Cherries, red apple meat, strawberries, and fortified wine (none of that
Manischewitz nonsense.) Chocolate malt, pecan, and burned creme with
sugar. Not the most finessed, but then what would you want from a sherry
