Discreet sherry aromas come to meet me first. Some salt and a lot of cereals. Smells like a freshly made bag of trail mix. Damp forest floor and conifers. Juicy orange and I mean here also a delicate flag of smoke. Also smells a bit of sour cucumber. Has something of ivy and menthol. Waffles and hazelnut.
Very mineral start. Slight biting on the tongue. Seasoning comes after. In the taste more almonds, hazelnut and somehow flowery.
At the second sip more oak and woodier. Grapes and plums. But significantly more bitterness and mineral. Sweet vanilla and caramel are trying to counter it. It really reminds me of plum brandy.
Medium to long. Significantly more bitterness and bitter. A creamy fruit sweet tries to prevail. But remains on the track. This slight trail of smoke remains until the end.
