  1. Cobo scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

with a little time and water, a beautiful and solid malt, definitely something undervalued
    • Nose
roasted yeast pastry, hazelnuts, definitely needs water and time, some woodruff with a malty sweetness
    • Taste
round, full, spicy, cereal, some caramel and burnt toast
    • Finish
medium, again caramel, nice sweet, remains a little burned

    • Nose
      Color: rich gold

Nose: hui..that's going to be difficult.slightly sour, oak wood, very slightly reddened bread .... that's all you can get out of it.
There has to be water to crack it. Then yellow fruits, a lot of honey, summery, blossoms,
    • Taste
60.1% are spicy and warming at best, but neither hot nor pungent. But here too ... little to differentiate in taste. Old, malt, honey. End.
Water: a few drops do nothing. A little more and he opens: honeycomb, old book, malt, a lot of malt, light roasted aroma, mirabelle plums, peaches, sweet marzipan. Very pleasant, but above all the lingering taste of old whisky. By that I mean the 70s, not the 15 years.
    • Finish
Finish: short without water, long with water. Seldom had one who needs so much water. but it doesn't matter ... it's fun that way.

  5. Mannix65 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

a very nice old-style Speysider - great fabric
    • Nose
A yellow fruit basket, ripe spicy mirabelles, peaches - add 1 drop of water and in addition to vanilla, flower aromas and floor wax added
    • Taste
ripe papaya, honey, again the floor wax, orange Campino candies, a lot of oak, Orangina soda
    • Finish
      Fruity, toasty, long

  7. MaltMartin scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Difficult and agressive whisky. A complete attack on all your senses.
    • Nose
Smoked ham it's the first impression (not uncommon for Cadenheads bottled in this period). Wet stones. Leafy. Burnt wood and hints of smoke. Later on more flowery notes of violet and freesias.
    • Taste
Something completely different. Cooked apples. Lemon and grapefruit. Zesty. Quite alcoholic as well (60,1%....). Humus. Eucalyptus.
    • Finish
Long. Hot and spicy (clove). Tanninic and woody. Spearmint.
