TASTING - Tomatin 1965/1989 (46%, Moon ‘The Animals’, casks 124-125-126, 600 bottles) Colour: light amber. Nose: quite grainy and a little dusty right from the start, quite typical of some old ‘regular’ malt from an old bottle. Some notes of light honey and toffee, with some dried flowers. It’s okay but nothing special here. Mouth: rather weak attack, quite grainy and a bit herbal, with some tea… It’s quite enjoyable, in fact, just a bit simple and too inoffensive (despite the snake on the label). 79 points.
