Guess: Either a Pulteney from a peaty cask or a lightly peated Clynelish. Age could be anywhere between 12 and 20, so I’ll guess around 16 years. Not cask strength, though, that much is for sure.
Juniper, herbal smokiness, pine needles, almonds, lemon. Somewhat gin-like, but not necessarily young. Better after the first sip; gains a point here.
Maritime, mineralic, rounder than expected. No alcoholic bite, good creamy / oily mouthfeel. Surprising amount of sweetness.
Mellow and comfy soft smokiness, but not insanely long. Feels like 46% at most. The juniper is back, big time.
