    SMWS notes: 

    "Immediately the panel was taken by this old style dram with aromas of wood polish, rich thick honey and coffee beans. The reduced nose was different but just as impressive; there was scented cedar wood, church pews and tobacco. The taste is sweet (liquorice) and tannic (French polish) with brown sugar and mint. There is a brandy finish. With water the palate has a slight smoky edge. Tobacco perhaps? There are more rich and fruity notes balanced with the tartness of a Fisherman’s Friend in the finish. It takes water extremely well."
