- The first nose convinced me, but the more I tried it, the less I liked it.
- Blind tasting.
Color: Chestnut / Oloroso sherry. Nice, fine smoke in the nose. But what kind? In addition, neat red fruits. Cherries and strawberries. I can not classify the smoke, maybe it's a port finish, the Ardmore? However, only on the basis of red fruits ... soft in the mouth, then dry, gentle smoke, vanilla, oranges, strawberries. Medium-length finish. Milk coffee, faint smoke, musty tree bark.
I really like MacDonald well, tasty, not very deep, but intense. He saw at least one sherry barrel from the inside. Maybe also Port. However, I have no idea what distillery I should pack the good, if it is not the Ardmore Port Wood.
- Overall, a nice malt, for me a good standard
Sweet, floral, non-spirituous. Perfumery shades (rose water). Lollipops. Fresh vegetables (sweet carrots, beets). Watercolor paint. 21
Slightly hot. Medium, moderately sweet. At the same time, slightly salty. Plain. 19
From short to medium, pleasant, warming, but also simple. 20
Balance: 20. Tidy, tasty, without any unpleasant notes, although uncomplicated. Reminds of a good blend. Although someone, perhaps, will call it faceless.
Nez: Orange. Épices. Frais. Se montre par moment un peu céréalier. Orange sanguine.
- The aroma is a sweet with fruits, salt, oak and spicy notes. The palate is a sweet and spicy with fruits notes. The finish is a middle, sweet, spicy and dusty. It’s a good whisky for daily drinking.
- No "flashy" notes (except for the cloves on the finish), but consistent, tasty, strong enough, well made, tastes good, for 36 € that fits.
Whisky. Sounds stupid, but it is - it smells round and coherent to whisky, without that there something striking "stick out", caramel, malt, a touch of dry sherry, wood, a little spice. The fruits of which others write, I can not find, lemon, mint - no indication.
strong and full-bodied, sweet, malt, cocoa, medium spicy sharpness, wood, a hint of cinnamon
medium to long, first cocoa, then warm, dry spiciness, cloves, latte
- On the nose, malty freshness, vanilla, yellow fruits and a trace of smoke, all spicy!
malt, fresh, yellow-orange fruit, spices in number and a return of vanilla!
a little wood as dry.
alcohol plus strong spices plus astringency, which remove all the attraction of the nose concerning the fruits.
we do not feel much.
- Notes stem from a blind tasting and I found it really delicious 83pkt
fresh sweet maltiness with exotic citrus fruits, a little spice. remove some smoke. very nice nose
The taste is very round malty with heather honey and floral touches
strong spice and again the distant, delicate and dry smoke in the long finish
