A whisky that lacks a bit of aromatic complexity but has an original framework closer to distillate than wood.
    Pleasant but not unforgettable.
    • Nose
      89 89
Cheese, cereals, even some kind of egg cream or like a macaroni and cheese gratin!
Fruit still green, a little chemical and a filthy note reminiscent of the smell of sleet (disinfectant which could recall the smell of medicinal peat)
    • Taste
      88 88
Rather fat and ample in the mouth
Eggs and industrial green candied fruit from the supermarket galettes des rois before switching to a spicier and more bitter side
    • Finish
      87 87
The finish brings back this filthy note and becomes almost ashy with a hint of spice which makes the whole thing quite salivating.

    • Nose
Orange, malt, lime, spice, gingerbread and a little cheese. Later slightly metallic.
    • Taste
Orange, almond, cocoa, spice, toffee and leather. Somewhat meaty and musty.
    • Finish
Cocoa, orange, malt peat and Mexican food.

Isle of Jura 1988/2012 24yo TWA Joint bottling with Bresser & Timmer 700ml 50.8% vol. Ex-Bourbon Hogshead 251 btls. This is a preeminent TWA, but I had a feeling of gambling Isle of Jura 1988! Well, Isle of Jura does not feel gamble is not it? Color: Surprisingly, I do not feel the soy sauce gish, it is a humble color like hoji - ka so I feel more creepy. Attach: Kitakita! After all, a perfect Pahumi! Egy cosmetics! Perfume! Body: As with Color, there was not surprisingly a heavy soy sauce gish, which is thin but it remains impressive, a delicious Japanese taste like sauce or sweet and sour pork, soy sauce gish It is a place not to be overwhelmed by TWA? Taste: It is irresistible of the lemon tea to get in a rusty container. The taste with a mysterious fruit feeling that tasty mandarin melting without melting on floor heating became delicious Finish: I'm not good at salad Trauma such as Mandarin or New Year 's dried persimmon disappears, this way the way of getting a bit frustrating will not accumulate.I worried about Isle of Jura after a long time, but when I receive such a thing, I am relieved. https://whisky2010.usukeba.com/u/whisky2010/1fyharsuaznfd2

This is a top Jura! Very complex and exciting.
    • Nose
Apple and menthol, leather and peat. That is the essence
of this great nose. Fairly clean and straightforward, although it becomes more
fruity if you leave it to breath for a while. It also has a great coastal side.
    • Taste
The attack is quite powerful with a lot of licquorice.
The fruit evolves towards a slight bitterness from grapefruit. In the meantime,
a salty side also emerges. Waxy!
    • Finish
The medium long finish is very salty and almost
      perfect.

Nose: very discreet peat, vanilla, creamy, spicy, stone fruit (peach), powdered sugar
Taste: soft, round, peach, salty, aftertaste then sweet
Finish: Peat becomes clearer, some fruit and salt, hardly any oak, but nice spice

Great Jura, I can usually do pretty badly with this distillery - but this one suits me really well!

Nothing special. Interesting nose, rather monosyllabic on the palate. You can, but you do not have to drink.
    • Nose
Oha, lots of glue (Prittstift?), In the background PVC shower curtain. After a while also a little fruit (peach?). Overall quite fresh and with a maritime edge note.
    • Taste
Witty beginning, malty behind and slightly earthy. Not really varied.
    • Finish
Good in length, spicy, even slightly peppery.
