Famous for its 'chili catch', Talisker 10 from the Isle of Skye is said to be 'made by the sea' - a suitable analogy. Its mineral, phenolic nose reminds of fresh, salty seawater with iodine and seaweed. A light sweetness of citrus fruits combines with restrained peatiness. The arrival is strong with a rich note of malted barley and dried fruits, leaving a peppery chili burn on the palate. A real 'afterburner' that finishes pleasantly warming, intense and spicy. The only downside is the intense addition of artificial colorant (E150a), creating this unnatural amber glow.

Well, if you do not compare with the previous version, then everything is very good, all the characteristic components, balance, pitches, everything in its place, but in comparison with its predecessor looks more stark and simpler. It seems that with increasing volumes of release and the number of releases, the quality of the source material has fallen on average and this release is an attempt to withstand the brand under new conditions. It turned out approximately as if trying to "improve" a mediocre audio recording with an equalizer shift in all bands.
    • Nose
Fresh, open, smoke-peat with fruit and citrus tones, raw coals of a bonfire, notes of smoked meat, new leather goods, light mineral-lemonade motives in the background, ashes.
    • Taste
Coal, ash, dry peat, charred wood, peppery wave, light sweetness.
    • Finish
Spicy-peat, peppery, dry, burnt biscuits, stout.

Insanely complex for 10 years, constantly discovering new, extremely delicious, the pepper can disturb beginners, as better to grab a HP 12 or Bunna 12 first. Tip: leave open bottle 2.3 months, which wins tremendously!
    • Nose
Mineral, salty, kiwi, some gum, peat smoke, freshly cut mango, juicy fruit gum, lemongrass, honey, at the entrance of a dank musty cellar, a little hemp
    • Taste
White pepper, honey, malt, orange peel, liquorice, hemp rope, salty mussels
    • Finish
Medium long, salt, smoke, dry, espresso
